Applications
Ampco's line of nickel aluminum bronze pumps are ideally
suited for saltwater, as well as brackish water, waste
water and many pollution control applications. The wetted
end parts are constructed of ASTM-B-148 C958, commonly
referred to as CDA 958. The overall corrosion/erosion
resistance of this alloy to saltwater is superior to
stainless steel and costs less. All of Ampco's nickel
aluminum bronze pumps have ABS (American Bureau of Shipping)
Type Approval.

Both stainless steel and nickel aluminum bronze have
a high resistance to corrosion from many chemical solutions.
Ampco's experience in corrosion resistance allows our
sales and engineering staffs to help you select the
right material for each application. Most pumps may
be special ordered in other material, such as Alloy
20, Hastalloy* B and C and nickel.
